Johathan & Tom,

Smart shapes definitely made Finale practical in a short production schedule. Just about everyone has a horror story about using slurs before that point.

Set-up Wizard has superseded templates in a lot of ways. Using the Wizard means always getting the latest libraries and positioning values in every document. Though there are still a few things beyond the Wizard's power. The most notable is multiple instruments on a staff.

Jonathan:

Good point.

I guess I would add the Set-up Wizard as another one for the list.

Right on, dudes!

It's not particularly recent any more, but I think the contextual menus really made a lot of things faster and easier. Particularly with the Repeat tool.

But if I had to choose the single greatest improvement since version 1.0, I'd pick the Slur tool. Dark days, before that one was invented....

Hi Tom,

I'm interested in getting a wind controller to work with Cubase 5. What do you suggest me?

Thanks!
